You've worked on training in the house and leash training, and you're excited to bring your puppy with you to the beach and everywhere else. There's only one problem: your dog vomits every time you are in the car. Cleaning up dog vomit is definitely not an enjoyable task, and many dog owners fear that their dogs will never be able to ride in the car. There are some dogs that do get motion sick, but there are others who vomit because they are stressed.
The first thing you should do is make sure that your dog is not stressed in the car. Bring your dog, on leash, into your car. Put him where he will be sitting, then sit in the driver's seat. Do nothing else for five minutes. Allow him to walk around and get comfortable with the feel and the smells of the car.
After you've done this for five minutes, start the engine, but go nowhere else. Look at your dog and see if he is exhibiting signs of being car sick, for instance, is he drooling or has his ears dropped. If he is not, continue to idle for five minutes or so. If he is looking car sick, turn off the car and allow him more time to become accustomed to it.
Once he is able to sit for five or ten minutes in an idling car without getting sick, it is time to go for a little drive. Keep it short, under five minutes or less, and try to avoid bumpy roads. If your dog is able to keep his kibble down, increase the amount you drive on a daily basis. If not, you may want to speak with your vet to see if you can give your dog Dramamine, which works well for both people and pets. Be aware, however, that most dogs that are truly carsick often grow out of it before they are a year old.

Dog Behavior Training – How Much Does Professional Dog Training Cost?
Dogs can be very difficult animals to deal with from time to time, some breeds and types can be especially difficult to train and control. No mater how much time and effort you seem to be putting in, your efforts give no results.
Don’t worry too much about persistently training you dog, it might not be your fault your dog is disobedient, people in different circumstances may be failing to train their dog for very simple reasons, whether it be your tone of voice, not having enough time to give your dog due to other commitments like work or hobbies, or your children throwing all the basic dog training rules out the window. Here we will try to educate you on the difference a professional dog trainer could have on your dog’s obedience, and how much it will cost.
The options available for dog training
Group dog training sessions locally - four to eight weekly 1 hour sessions for around $40 - $130 (£20 - £70).
Private dog trainers visiting your home or work place to give personal training to your dog for around $25 - $110 (£13 - £55) per hour.
Dog boarding kennel where your dog lives with the trainer for around 2 – 4 weeks getting many hours of professional dog behaviour training a day for around $1000 – $2,500(£550 – £1,300).
What you get for your money
So what do you get for your money? Many dog trainers concentrate on different areas of your dog’s obedience and you will usually get a much better service for the more money you pay. Standard training classes and trainers will concentrate on addressing the chewing, barking, biting and digging aspects of your dog’s behavior. Hand signals may also be covered in dog obedience classes along with showing you, the owner how to handle trickier situations that can only be over come at home like housetraining.
General guidelines for hiring a dog trainer are to always research the dog trainer well, find out qualifications the dog trainer has in his area of expertise and seek advice and information for other dog owners who have had their dogs trained previously. Get to know your trainer well before handing your dog over to him/her and make sure you are comfortable in the methods he/she uses.

The Heart Breaking Story That Is The Motivation Behind This Blog.
THIS STORY IS ABSOLUTLY HEART BREAKING. DOG LOVERS EVERYWHERE IT IS TIME TO UNITE. WE MUST STOP THIS INHUMANE ACT THROUGH LEGISLATION. I HAVE HEARD FOR YEARS NOW ABOUT POLICE SHOOTING DOGS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PROVOCATION WHATSOVER. NOW THAT IT HAS HAPPENED TO SOMEONE WITH CLOUT. WE SHOULD BAN TOGETHER AND TRY TO LEGISLATION PASSED TO MAKE IT TOUGHER FOR SWAT TEAMS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCYS TO JUST SHOOT OUR PETS, FOR SPORT. I BELIEVE MACE OR TASERS WOULD WORK JUST FINE FOR DOGS. THERE IS NO REASON TO SHOOT SOMEONES FAMILY MEMBER. I BELIEVE THIS TACTIC IS DONE TO HUMILIATE THE PERSON THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT ARE TARGETING. IN MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION, SHOOTING A DOG IN COLD BLOOD SHOULD BE A MUCH GREATER OFFENSE THEN SOMEONE DEALING DRUGS. WHICH IN THE CASE OF THE MAYOR AND HIS WIFE, THERE WAS NO CRIME. PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION. WE CAN'T STAND BY AND LET INNOCENT DOGS BE SHOT ANYLONGER.
PLEASE ALSO TAKE A MOMENT AND POST A COMMENT ON THIS BLOG. THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY.
HERE IS THE PETITOIN WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO SIGN
ON THE LEFT IS WHERE YOU CAN SIGN THE PETITION, BELOW IS THE BODY OF THE PETITION. ALONG WITH THE SCOPE AND OBJECTIVE OF THE PETITION. IF YOU ARE UNFAMILUAR WITH THE STORY OF THE MAYORS DOG. YOU CAN READ THE STORY BELOW THE PETITION. UNFORTUNATLY THIS PRACTICE OF SHOOTING DOGS JUST BECAUSE DURING A SEARCH WARRANT OR AN EXECUTION OF AN ARREST, IS MUCH TOO COMMON.
Target:
WE SEEK TO OBTAIN ONE MILLION SIGNATURES TO DELIVER TO CONGRESS
Sponsored by:
DONTSHOOTMYDOG.COM
YOU MUST ACT NOW AND SIGN THIS PETITOIN TO CONVICE CONGRESS TO PASS LEGISLATION ORDERING LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES TO DEVELOP NEW STRATEGIES FOR DEALING WITH DOGS DURING THE EXECUTION OF SEARCH WARRANTS. MAIL MEN OFTEN MACE DOGS, AND TASERS WORK BETTER ON DOGS THEN THEY DO ON HUMANS. WE MUST ACT NOW TO ASK CONGRESS TO PASS LEGISLATION TO STOP THIS CRUEL AND COLD BLOODED PRACTICE THAT HAS GONE ON TOO LONG. SHOOTING DOGS DURING SEARCH WARRANTS OR ARRESTS, SHOULD BE A LAST RESORT - NOT THE STATUS QUOE. THESE ARE OUR FAMILY MEMBERS. WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO FEAR OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCYS KILLING MEMBERS OF OUR FAMILY IN COLD BLOOD. SIGN THE PETITION NOW TO STOP THIS CRUEL AND INHUMANE PRACTICE.
HERE IS AN EXCERPT FROM CNN ON THE MAYORS DOGS., FOR THOSE WHO ARE UNFAMILUAR WITH THE SITUATION.
SOURCE CNN.COM
(CNN) -- Federal officials have opened a civil rights investigation into a police narcotics raid on the home of a Maryland mayor in which police burst in without knocking and shot the mayor's two dogs to death.
Berwyn Heights, Maryland, Mayor Cheye Calvo comforts wife Trinity Tomsic at a news conference Thursday.
Mayor Cheye Calvo of Berwyn Heights, Maryland, and his mother-in-law were handcuffed and forced to kneel on the floor during the July 29 raid, which police said was part of an investigation into a scheme in which drugs apparently were sent to unsuspecting people.
Prince George's County police, who were in charge of the raid, issued a statement Friday clearing the couple of involvement and expressing "regret."
The FBI and the U.S. attorney's office in Maryland are investigating the incident, FBI spokesman Richard Wolf said Friday.
Calvo had asked for the federal investigation.
"We lost our family dogs," he said Thursday. "We did it at the hands of sheriff's deputies who burst through our front door, rifles blazing."

Deputies at wrong house kill family's dog
A family dog was shot to death in St. Paul's Frogtown neighborhood on Saturday morning by a Ramsey County sheriff's deputy when he and four other deputies tried to serve a warrant -- at the wrong house.
The deputies, who were looking for a man accused of forging a $3,000 check, reportedly felt threatened by the black Labrador retriever.
When they entered Charley and Beth Hatch's fenced-in front yard on Sherburne Avenue, they ran into Gwennie, who began barking loudly at them.
One of the deputies fired at the dog, killing her.
"I heard a bark-bark-bark, bang-bang-bang and yelp-yelp-yelp," said Charley Hatch, who was inside his home getting his two daughters ready so they could take Gwennie to a routine veterinary exam. Hatch saw the dog bleeding and five officers standing around "with a look of oh-oh," he said.
Hatch asked the deputies why they shot his dog and they said they felt they were in danger, he said. More than 10 neighbors gathered around the yard witnessed the scene.
Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher did not return a call to his home Sunday seeking explanation of the incident.
"One of the officers said this is known for being a bad neighborhood," said Frank Schwantes, who lives next door to the Hatches. Schwantes said he heard the shots from inside his home, then went outside to see what was going on.
The 7-year-old Lab was the family pet as well as the dog Beth Hatch uses for demonstrations when she trains dogs at her job at Dog Days in St. Paul.
"I can't believe a police office with four comrades felt threatened with a Lab," said Steve Schultz, owner of Dog Days. "She's a mellow dog, an unbelievably well-trained dog. Beth has her as well-trained as a K-9."
Schultz wondered why deputies didn't use pepper spray or something milder than a bullet to calm the dog.
The Hatches' three children -- Robby, 8; Kelley, 6; and Katie, 3 -- grew up with Gwennie.
"It shouldn't have happened," Kelley said. "She died saving our lives. She was barking to make sure we were safe."

Thanks For The Comment Charles, We Will Keep Fighting. Charles Comment is Below.
I would really do something bad to someone if they hurt my dogs, My dogs are like my kids. I personally feel that its a much bigger deal to shoot someones dog then it would be to deal pot anyday. Hmmm lets see someone selling Pot, Someone shooting peoples dogs. Who would you rather have to dinner.?? Dogs are family. This isnt China. We dont treat dogs like Beef here. Are You Kidding Me. This is really upsetting to me.
Thank You for Starting A Petition. My heart really goes out to the Mayor and his wife. Thats really sad. Maybe something good can come of this horrible situation. The sad thing is this has been happening for years. Ive heard stories just like this a few times a month. It just takes it happening to someone important before any thing will be changed. We shouldnt be putting up with this in the U.S. , this is some gestapo shit.

We recently recieved this email. Contains alot of Information.
I am not aware of any organization that is actively doing what you ask. The does not mean there isn't one, but I haven't found one.
Randy Balko of the Cato Institute has written extensively on this issue and has on line map with summary details about many of the atrocities around the country. There are links to Balko's work in the message I'm forwarding down below your message.
There is an online petition related to saving dogs and highlighting the Calvo case at "dont shoot my dog"
http://protectourdogs.blogspot.com/ and some other sites.
If you find an appropriate activist group, please let all of us know. In the meantime, we should all work for the removal of the sheriff and those deputies of his who do not know right from wrong and do not believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Anyone know of such a group?

Overkill: The Rise of Paramilitary Police Raids in America
By Radley Balko
No-Knock Raids - A special report on the militarization of law
enforcement and the dramatic rise in the use of paramilitary police units for
routine police work.

That's some background information that you might appreciate.
The Calvo family isn't the first...and it won't be the last. Your family
could be next. My family could be next.
Law enforcement agencies don't just kill innocent dogs in such 'raids.' Every
year, more than 300 innocent Americans are killed and/or severely injured by
law enforcement agents in these "mistaken" raids. The lives of thousands of
other innocents are permanently disrupted, their reputations and livelihood
damaged beyond repair. Most of these SWAT team raids are breaking down doors
to serve warrants for non-violent crimes. They're serving a simple bench
warrant. Most of these SWAT teams are not breaking down the doors of
violent criminals such as murderers, gang-bangers, armed robbers, rapists or
even child molesters. Federal, state and local governments have by-passed the
Constitution and the Posse Comitatus Act and have militarized Federal, state
and local 'civilian' police departments.
Be assured that more than one family in your state has had this happen to
them, which can be said of every state in the Union. Had Mayor Calvo not been
who he was, living where he lived, and had he not known exactly what to do
and say to protect his rights, you would have read and heard an entirely
different story from the media, if you had read or heard about it at all.
Imagine more than a dozen Waco or Ruby Ridge-type events happening each and
every day in America...and you'll have a grasp of the reality of what
'freedom' in contemporary America truly means.
This is not an issue about left vs right, Republican vs Democrat or
religion vs secularism. This is not about race or nationality or even about
the poor vs the wealthy. This is about Freedom.
Governments are about control and tyranny. Aside from controlling you,
governments don't care who you are. The bigger the government, the worse the
tyranny.
